FAQ for entrepreneurs/employees
From 1 January 2025, municipalities will provide statutory services and support for business customers, including start-up services (start-up allowance, coaching and training services), employment services, wage subsidies, and advice and guidance services.
From the beginning of 2025, you can go to the employment services in your municipality. You can find the contact details on the next tab.
In Oulu, you can still go to the current address (Uusikatu 52), where the employment services will continue to operate after the turn of the year.

The Finnish Immigration Service will be responsible for all tasks related to work permits from now on.

The municipal employment authorities grant wage subsidies.
You can continue to submit your job advertisement electronically on Job Market Finland. You can also register a vacancy with your municipal employment services.
In the Oulu region these services have been centralised to Oulu.
No, it will not. You can still use Job Market Finland's online service for creating a job advertisement and browsing job seeker profiles, for example. Employers will continue to use the current online ”Oma asiointi” service.
