Job applicant profile

Under the Act on the Organisation of Employment Services (380/2023), which will enter into force on 1 September 2026, job seekers must prepare and publish a job applicant profile on Job Market Finland. In these instructions, a job seeker refers to a person who is a customer of employment services, regardless of their employment status.

A job seeker must prepare and publish a job applicant profile on the service platform within 15 working days of start of their job search.

  • Publishing a profile is mandatory
  • You will be notified of the need to publish a job applicant profile when you register
  • If a job seeker does not create a profile themselves, the employment authority must create one on their behalf
  • Every job seeker will also be assigned a task in the E-services for preparing and publishing a profile

If you have already been a job seeker prior to 1 September 2026, the obligation to publish your job applicant profile (or any possible exemption to this) will be set in connection with the preparation of your next plan or during your next job search discussion.

Once you have logged in, you can easily switch between Job Market Finland’s E-services and the My job path section. If you are a job applicant customer, you are obliged to prepare and publish a job applicant profile.
