Log in and handle official matters in the E-services at Job Market Finland

The 'E-services' section is the electronic transaction channel of employment services at Job Market Finland. Using the E-services, you can register as a job seeker, which is a prerequisite for applying for an unemployment benefit. In addition, you can report the progress of your employment plan and changes in your job search. Through the 'E-services' section, you can also apply for labour market training and apply for a start-up grand to start a business.

By using the E-services at Job Market Finland you can

  • register as a job seeker so that you can apply for an unemployment benefit,
  • monitor the status of your job search,
  • agree upon an employment plan and notify officials of its implementation,
  • notify officials of changes in your job search,
  • apply for labour market training, and
  • apply for a start-up grant.

Notice

If you need to prove that your job search is valid and that you have registered as a job seeker, you can print the front page of the E-services section or show it on a mobile device, where the validity and start date of your job search are displayed. If this does not meet your needs, the service provider does not accept the evidence, or for some reason it is not possible to obtain or print it, the employment authority can sign a separate certificate confirming the validity of your job search and unemployment.

The chat and online services of the national advisory services may be temporarily disrupted due to the unavailability of data connections.

How to act if you have been unable to handle your matter due to a disruption in the E-services section

If you have been unable to handle your matter due to a disruption in the E-services section of Job Market Finland, please contact your local employment authority. The date when you attempted to use the online service will be considered your date of contact. Any pending matters caused by the disruption can be corrected afterwards.

Official mail primarily digital starting on 14 April

Official mail is becoming primarily digital. As of 14 April 2026, when you identify yourself in Job Market Finland or another authority’s electronic service for the first time, you will be directed to activate Suomi.fi Messages. From then on, that is where you will receive mail from several public authorities. Suomi.fi Messages will replace official paper mail.
