Description and instructions for the Export Interface

Job Market Finland features an application programming interface (API) for jobseeker profiles through which a user can export information on work experience and skills available at Job Market Finland to be included in a profile in another service. The interface enables the technical export of this data.

The access right to the interface is tied to the organisation's business ID. The export of data from Job Market to other services is based on the user’s consent.

The information in the jobseeker profile is transferred on a one-off basis from Job Market to the service of the organisation exporting the data via the Export Interface. It is also possible to export jobseeker profile data in parts, but each export session requires a separate permit. Jobseeker profile data is exported to an external service in the format specified in the interface description.

Only the data that the user authorises to be transferred is exported from Job Market; no other data is exported. When jobseeker profile data is exported from Job Market, it must be managed through an external service. You can still update your jobseeker profile at Job Market after this, but the updated information will not be automatically synchronised with the service to which your profile details were previously exported.

How to implement the Export Interface

  1. Organisations interested in the interface must read the description, terms of use, and technical requirements of the Job Market Finland jobseeker profile Export Interface.
  2. The organisation implementing the interface submits the necessary information to the KEHA Centre on an activation form. With the same form, the organisation also commits to comply with the Terms of Use.
  3. The KEHA Centre will verify the organisation's eligibility and suitability to use the interface.
  4. After the verification, the KEHA Centre delivers the user IDs to the organisation implementing the interface.
  5. Implementing the interface happens in two phases. In the first phase, the KEHA Centre provides access to the Job Market test environment and opens the necessary connections. Before access to the production environment can be granted, the interface must always be tested with the KEHA Centre.
  6. When the implementing organisation has tested the interface with the KEHA Centre, it can be given access to the production environment of the import API.
