One-Stop Guidance Center Visitor Statistics 2023
In 2023, approximately 183,000 young people visited the One-Stop Guidance Centers, which is reflected in the national visitor statistics collected by the KEHA Centre.
Visits by individual clients totalled 106,000, while 76,000 young people participated in group meetings. The total number of client visits is estimated to have increased by approximately 11,000 compared to 2022, which is almost entirely explained by the increase in the number of group meeting participants. A closer examination of individual client visits also reveals an increase in face-to-face meetings compared to 2022. As phone and messaging-based service visits decreased at the same time, there was little growth in the total number of individual client visits.
Young people typically visit One-Stop Guidance Centers in matters related to work and entrepreneurship (38%), well-being and health (28%), education and studies (28%), and their personal finances (21%). Approximately one quarter (27%) of individual client visits lasted less than 15 minutes, but other visits took between 45 and 60 minutes almost as often (24%).
The young people who visited One-Stop Guidance Centers were mainly 18–24 years old (47%) or older (20% were 25–30 years old). In most cases, the highest completed qualification was the comprehensive school syllabus (21%), a vocational qualification (21%), or a matriculation examination (10%). The young people who visited the Centers were mainly either unemployed (36%) or students (16%).
For more detailed background data and other results, see the One-Stop Guidance Center Visitor Statistics 2023 report. When examining the background data of young people, please note the relatively high prevalence of “not known” entries, which are explained by the fact that the One-Stop Guidance Centers can also be visited anonymously. One of the key emphases of the One-Stop Guidance Centers is to offer services to young people at a low threshold, which includes the possibility of anonymous visits.
The One-Stop Guidance Center Visitor Statistics 2023 report was published for the first time on 29 April 2024 on the KEHA Centre’s website, as well as on xx February 2025 at Job Market Finland.
