Handling matters in the employment services
Employment services provide individualised support in job seeking. The aim is for you to find employment as quickly as possible.
When you are a job seeker in the employment services, an initial interview and job search discussions will be arranged for you. In these, you will work with an employment service specialist to make an employment plan, and you will also monitor its implementation. The interviews will also assess your service needs, meaning the service specialist will suggest employment-promoting services that are suitable for your situation.
The responsibility for organising employment services was transferred from the state to municipalities and the cooperation areas formed by municipalities at the beginning of 2025. On the regional pages at Job Market Finland you can read about the transfer of employment services to municipalities and how you should handle matters. The regional pages have also compiled contact information provided by employment officials.
You can find employment services, like registering as a job seeker, in the 'E-services' section.
