On 1 January 2025, employment and economic development services and integration services will be transferred from central government to employment areas formed by municipalities Current TE Offices will be closed down. Finland will have 45 employment areas. The contact details for employment services are listed on the website of your municipality of residence. Service points may change. Please note that the reform will cause changes to the opening hours of the service points and the telephone service, and the operation of systems at the turn of the year.

Individual clients

The reform will not require any measures from you Your customer information will be automatically transferred to your municipality’s employment services. You will be contacted where necessary. Your rights and obligations as a client will remain unchanged, your job search will remain valid and your unemployment benefit will continue to be paid. You can still manage matters related to your job search, such as registering as an unemployed jobseeker, on Job Market Finland and online services,

Employer and enterprise clients

The update does not require any action from you. Employer information can still be found in the employment official's customer information system. Business and employer E-services will remain in use even after the reform, and you can still handle officials matters in the E-services. If you are unable to submit a contact request in the business and employer E-services, contact the employment official in your region by phone, email, or visit the office on site. An employment service specialist will set a new responsible office in the company's information, after which it will be possible to submit an electronic contact request.
