KantriLuonto
The KantriLuonto project provides encouragement for the creation of new nature-based businesses and services in Kainuu.
For whom?
The target group for the project activities are entrepreneurs and intending to be an entrepreneur in the food, nature-based services and natural products sectors and organizations active in the sector in Kainuu.
Main sectors of the project and theme of the project
The aim of the project is to encourage and support the creation of new natural food, nature-based services and natural products businesses. The project also aims to increase understanding of product manufacturing, productization and quality processes, so that participants can develop their knowledge and skills to create new customer-oriented services and products. The project promotes innovation that can create new business opportunities and boost the economic development of the region. It will also help companies to expand their markets and find new business opportunities through the network.
What you do when participating in the project’s activities?
During the project's lifetime, you will be offered
- expert guidance
- coaching
- workshops and events to support the creation of new services and products and to develop entrepreneurship
- study trips in Finland and abroad to help participants network and learn new practices
Get up-to-date information on the natural products sector through national networks. The project will give participants access to events where entrepreneurs can showcase their products and services.
Applications for workshops, training and study trips can be made via the Kainuu Vocational College's short courses page and the Rural Women's Advisory Organization’s website.
Funder and implementer
Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment 2023-2027. The main implementer of the project is Kainuu Vocational College and the partial implementer is ProAgria Itä-Suomi ry/ Rural Women´s Advisory Centre (RWAC) of Eastern Finland
Project operating time
The KantriLuonto project will run from 1.8.2024 to 31.3.2026.
