The Equal Oulu2026 project supports municipal and third sector cultural operators to implement cultural services in a more equal way and minority groups to participate more strongly in planning and implementation. The project operates in the Oulu2026 area, i.e. Kainuu and North Ostrobothnia, from 1.4.2023 to 31.3.2025 and is funded by the Oulu Cultural Foundation through ESF+.

Theme of the project

By participating in training courses and events organized by the project and in which the project is a partner, you are involved in the project's activities. Inclusion increases your well-being and confidence in other people, helps you to integrate into society and prevents you from becoming excluded. The training sessions are open to all and free of charge.

What you do when participating in the project’s activities 

Participates in various events organized by the project or events where the project is visible or organizing an event. Examples of events organized by the project include equality and diversity training, workshops and information sessions. Get training or information on accessibility. Participate in a training or information session on the principles of safer spaces.

The We are Culture call for 2026 will open on 2.9.2024. This call is open for the organization of cultural events for the year 2026.
