Improving the employment of foreign-language job seekers and supporting employers in recruitment

Theme of the project

Supports new residents of Kainuu in employment with individual services and Kainuu employers in recruiting and onboarding new residents.

What a foreign-language job seeker/student receives by participating in the project’s activities?

• Guidance and job coaching – recognizing and showcasing previous skills
• Small group training and working life certification courses
• Learning Finnish
• Guidance in their own language for job searching and at workplaces

What you receive as an entrepreneur or employer by participating in the project’s activities?

• Supported trial with a suitable job seeker
• Easy-to-understand work instruction cards and other materials
• Translations of work instructions into different languages
• Interpreter and other support services for onboarding foreign-language employees
• Finnish language / workplace Finnish teaching and learning at the workplace
