Year 2024 for Job Market Finland’s regional pages

News

Job Market Finland’s regional pages saw plenty of reforms and cooperation in 2024.

In 2024, the regional pages focused on the TE24 reform, i.e. the transfer of TE services to municipalities and employment areas. The aim of the legislative reform is for employees to find employment as quickly and smoothly as possible.

The reform of the regional pages was prepared in workshops which included guest representatives from municipalities, future employment areas, TE Offices and ELY Centres. We also conducted user surveys on the functionality of the website.

Based on the workshops, we decided to change the structure of the regional pages to reflect the future employment areas. Now you can search for your area’s details either through your municipality or your employment area. The region structure was removed from the regional pages.

The reform also introduced a new Events section on the regional pages, which highlights events in the region.

The content of the regional pages will be developed in cooperation between the employment and economic development actors in the region. In 2024, the regional pages’ cooperation network expanded, and a lot of new content was added to the pages: news, services and contact information.

In 2024, Job Market Finland’s regional pages were visited 597,449 times. There were 488,973 individual visitors. The most visited municipal page was Tampere with 29,004 visits logged. The most popular region page was that of North Karelia. It was visited 21,613 times. The regional pages included four new theme pages. The most popular theme page, Work in Lapland, was visited 4645 times.

The regional pages are designed jointly by local actors and are part of Job Market Finland. The regional pages contain employment area and municipality-specific information on local events and news related to employment. You can also search for contact details of operators in your area and services described in the Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue.
