Job listings in the browsing view now include the name of the employer
- News
Based on early user feedback, changes have been made to the new version of the Job Market. When a user browses for vacancies, the job listings now include the name of the employer. This change is reflected in both the recommended job listings for a logged in user and in the search results for an unregistered user.

Another change is the removal of skills and competencies key words from the job listings. This change removes the legacy functionality inherited from the old Beta service that showed key words for skills and competencies that were based on the ESCO classification. These key words are no longer visible in the jobseekers’ view.
Employers should check their listings
The way that skills and competency key words are used for generating search results remains unchanged. The Job Market suggests roles based on job seekers’ skills and job titles. Similarly, employers see suggestions for the most qualified and suitable candidates based on their skills.
It is important that the skills in job listings are accurate. Employers should log into the Job Market and check that their job ads that have been migrated from TE service’s Avoimet työpaikat website are accurate. During the data migration, some skills or competencies may have been misidentified and this will weaken the search and skills matching results.
