New at the Job Market Finland: Create a job advertisement or a job seeker profile and publish it on the EURES portal at the touch of a button!
Here at Job Market Finland, we want to make it possible for you to seek employees or employment in the largest possible area. From now on, this area will also cover Europe, because we have made it possible to post your job advertisement or job seeker profile also on the EURES portal.
EURES is a platform for employers to report vacancies and for job seekers to create a profile. Sound familiar?
Because the model sounds good to us, too, and we want to encourage professional mobility, we have started collaborating with the EURES service.
This means that from now on, your job advertisement or profile will also appear to users logged in to the EURES network if you wish it to. This allows you to get hits from other countries or from employees in other countries.
How do I submit a job advertisement to the EURES portal?
If you submit your job advertisement to the EURES network, those looking for employment can then see your job advertisements and apply for a job. The application process is carried out in the manner you have specified in the job advertisement.
Submitting a job advertisement to the EURES portal is easy and can be done with a single click of the mouse. Fill in the job advertisement as usual in the languages you have selected – for international attention, we recommend using multiple languages.
On the Application Instructions tab you can find the section ‘Submitting to the EURES portal’ under which you can select the box ‘This job advertisement may be posted on the EURES portal’. In the same place, you can choose whether you are interested in hiring a person from another country. For best results, select both boxes.
How do I submit a job seeker profile to the EURES portal?
If you submit your job seeker profile to the EURES network, employers can find you based on your skills and send you a message via EURES. Contact is via email. If you wish, you can also enter other information about yourself e.g. in the introduction text.
You can easily create a EURES profile by logging in and going to the front page of your job search profile. From there, you can go to fill in your information.
You can export your profile in your preferred language to the EURES portal. You can choose the language of your resume when you start filling in the EURES profile. Your personal information is automatically transferred from your job search profile, but you may want to translate things like professional titles. In addition, the EURES profile requires slightly more information than the Job Market Finland profile.
Profiles and job advertisements can be updated, published and deleted through the Job Market Finland online service.
Adding or editing information in the EURES profile does not affect the job seeker profile in Job Market Finland. They are two separate profiles, but you can easily update both of them on Job Market Finland.
