Make use of the responsibility test to develop your business

  • News

A responsibility test has been added to the Entrepreneurship tests section on Job Market Finland. The test helps you assess your company's level of responsibility and identify concrete development needs.

It is part of the Vastuullisuusvalmennus.fi online service, developed through the VATUPASSI – Responsible Future project. The project is co-financed by the European Union. The test is currently available in Finnish.

Responsibility is visible in everyday business – and brings competitive advantage

Responsible business means ethical choices that take into account the environment, people, and the economy. It is not only a concern for large companies – micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises can also strengthen their competitiveness through responsibility, often with small steps. Responsibility is built on ecological, social, and economic actions, as well as how a company communicates these actions to its customers and stakeholders.

Support for identifying development needs and practical tips for responsibility

The responsibility test provides useful insights into your company’s current state. It helps identify development needs and offers practical tips for strengthening responsibility. The test is especially designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. It consists of background questions and four thematic sections and takes approximately 15–30 minutes to complete.

VATUPASSI – Responsible Future

The VATUPASSI – Responsible Future project supports the development of responsibility expertise among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the southern part of Northern Ostrobothnia. In addition to the test, the project provides nationwide information and business case stories on responsibility.

The main implementer of the project is the Kerttu Saalasti Institute at the University of Oulu. Co-implementers include the City of Kalajoki, the Nivala-Haapajärvi Region NIHAK association, and the City of Ylivieska. The City of Kalajoki is also responsible for implementing the project activities in the Raahe region. The project is co-financed by the European Union, and the funding has been granted by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Northern Ostrobothnia. Other financiers include Raahe Region Development and the Kerttu Saalasti Foundation.
