How to test Microcompetencies service for jobseeking between 21 and 27 January 2019
- News
There are currently various artificial intelligence solutions that are being tested for Job Market Finland. One of these is Microcompetencies produced by Headai. During this week (21–27 January 2019), anyone can test Headai's artificial intelligence solution. We hope that both those actively seeking a job and those currently employed who are not actively seeking a new job at the moment would test the solution. The service can be tested at any time, on a desktop computer or telephone.

To learn how to use the service, you can watch this 6-minute video:

Alternatively, you can follow the written instructions below. If you are watching the video only, make sure you place the following group code for Job Market Finland testers in the KUTSUAVAIN (CALL KEY) field: zmQPHw
In the service being tested, artificial intelligence picks out competence-related words from the text provided by the user and, based on them, gives proposals on both job opportunities and training that could be used to fill the skills gap in relation to the proposed jobs. The user can copy the data from, for example, a personal CV or Linkedin profile, or describe his or her skills using individual words.
The creators of Job Market Finland hope that, after having tested Headai's Microcompetencies service, you would use the following link to give feedback on its functionality:

How to test the Microcompetencies service:
1. Registration: Open the service in your browser https://www.microcompetencies.com and log in using your LinkedIn identifier or your existing email service. When logging in by email, you will receive a confirmation message in your email.
2. The group code for Job Market Finland testers is zmQPHw and, once logged in, you can enter it under KUTSUAVAIN (CALL KEY).
3. Creating a competence profile and recommended jobs: On the TAIDOT (SKILLS) page, create a Competence Profile for yourself. Describe your competence as widely as possible, not forgetting your hobbies. (To add skills to your profile, press the button below the text field). Add words one by one or separate them with a comma. They accumulate in your profile, which you can find lower down the page. You can delete words and edit your profile. Finally, remember to save the entries.
4. Artificial intelligence calculates the results based on the profile given. You can narrow down your search to a specific area or time interval. If the search is not narrowed down, the system will do the search from all data. The results displayed include vacancies that could provide you employment immediately or after you have enhanced your skills.
5. Refine your profile by adding more detailed terms and delete most common words. Update your competence words and review the new results. You can create multiple profiles for yourself.
6. Feedback to artificial Intelligence: Thumbs up: We are using a continuously-learning AI system and it becomes the better, the more it is being used or trained further, and the more it reads textual data related to working life and skills. It is not perfect but makes occasional mistakes like any other AI system. If you find things in the report produced by our AI that you consider erroneous, they may have been caused by the quality of the output data or an error made by AI. Please, give us feedback on your results. Thank you for your help! (Show thumbs up)
7. What about dreams, a new career or new work tasks? Enter words related to your dream. Study the results to see what kind of work tasks are currently available in the labour market and where you could develop your new skills.
In some cases, it has occurred that clicking the email link that activates the registration produces an “epäilyttävä linkki” or “Suspicious link” notification in Google Gmail of some users. This is a generally known internal identification challenge when using Google. Headai is studying this issue with Google. It is completely safe to run the activation link.
