The Jakobstad region is an area with strong confidence in the future, where cooperation between education, business, and organizations creates solid conditions for employment and growth. The recruitment event OptiCareerDay, organized for the eighth time this year, is open to everyone and brings together employers, jobseekers, and educational actors – with the goal of building bridges to the working life of the future.

The event, held on Wednesday 28 January 2026, offers many opportunities for encounters between working life and the employees of tomorrow. The organizing team already includes Optima, Concordia, Centria, Novia, Yrkesakademin, and Step Education. This year, Employment Services also joins the planning team, further strengthening the connection between education, employment services, and the business sector.

Ahead of the coming summer, a high demand for workers is expected in the region, and OptiCareerDay’26 provides an excellent opportunity to stay one step ahead. For many students and young jobseekers, a visit may be the starting point for a summer job – or perhaps the beginning of a longer career path in the Jakobstad region.

The organizers want to emphasize that everyone is welcome to meet the exhibitors – regardless of their native language. Companies in our region need employees, and a diverse linguistic environment contributes to strengthening the vitality of the Jakobstad region. Both the exhibiting companies and the organizers hope that as many visitors as possible take the opportunity to visit Optima on this day.
