Ostrobothnia Employment Services to resume granting pay subsidies from 5 November 2025

Employers will once again be able to apply for pay subsidies through Ostrobothnia Employment Services starting from 5 November 2025. A pay subsidy is a financial benefit that allows employers to cover part of the pay costs when hiring a person who has faced challenges finding employment. The aim of the subsidy is to promote employment and encourage companies to offer work to jobseekers who may find it difficult to enter the open labour market. 

The granting of pay subsidies was suspended in March 2025 after the employment area’s appropriations for the year had been fully allocated. Funds have now been released, allowing new applications to be processed again.
