Recruitment subsidy for hiring young people
- News
When a company agrees with the employment authority to hire an unemployed jobseeker who is under 30 years old, it can receive a recruitment subsidy to cover some of their payroll costs.
Recruiting subsidies are intended to help young people find employment in the private labour market. This subsidy is not available to associations, non-government organisations or employers in the public sector.
Conditions have been set for this subsidy:
- The subsidy is only intended to cover payroll costs for hiring people under 30.
- The employer must agree to give the young person a job for at least six months.
- The young person must have been unemployed for a set amount of time.
Fulfilment of these conditions are mandatory for signing an agreement on the recruitment subsidy with the employment authority. The subsidy can be granted for six months at most. The amount of the subsidy is 50 per cent of the payroll costs, but no more than €1,500 for each employed young person.
You can find information on the recruitment subsidy for hiring young people and its granting practices on the Job Market’s regional pages and other channels of the employment area.
