The advisory board for promoting employment convened to discuss the implementation of the TE24 reform
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland has appointed an advisory board to support the implementation of the TE24 reform for the transition phase, i.e. until 31 December 2024. The advisory board met for the first time on 30 May 2023. An actual national advisory board for promoting employment will be appointed by the Government at the beginning of 2025
Tasks of the advisory board and state of implementation
The tasks of the advisory board supporting the implementation include:
- Promote cooperation and dialogue between stakeholders in the transition phase of the TE24 and KOTO24 reforms.
- Contribute to the formation of the necessary cooperation structures.
- Monitor the formation of the new service structure and system in relation to the objectives of the reforms.
TE24 regional events have been organised extensively during the spring—supporting municipalities and foreseeing regional solutions are crucial factors in the transition.
An implementation handbook has been prepared in extensive network cooperation. The first part of the handbook has been published, and it supports municipalities in the preparation of the first phase. The second part will be published in June, and it will be a more comprehensive and complementary information package.
The first change training schemes for municipal and central government personnel have also begun.
