Employers can now apply for the Youth recruitment subsidy. The purpose of the subsidy is to help cover wage costs and boost employment among young people aged 18–29 in the Tampere region.

Employers can now apply for the Youth recruitment subsidy. Nearly three million euros has been allocated to the Tampere Region Employment area for youth employment. The funding has been granted to the City of Tampere, which, as the lead municipality, is responsible for distributing the subsidy to other municipalities in the region.

The support is intended to encourage employers to hire unemployed job seekers aged 18–29 for employment relationships of at least six months. Employers can receive 50 percent of the wage costs, up to 1,500 euros per month per young person hired.

Both the employer and the young person being hired must meet certain requirements. The subsidy is intended for employers engaged in business activities throughout Finland, and the young person being hired must be a job seeker in the Tampere Region Employment area.
