Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises’ mentoring network brings together industry experts and entrepreneurs

News

The Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises’ mentoring network aims to meet the support needs of social entrepreneurs and to provide them with personalised help.

Social enterprises are companies that seek to solve societal challenges through business. Their aim could be to reduce loneliness among the elderly, to prevent the exclusion of young people or to reduce food waste.

Because of their social impact objective, the needs of the social entrepreneur are different from those of traditional businesses. The entrepreneur must balance conformity to the laws of business and the functionality of the earnings model with their own values and social objective.

The mentoring network of the Centre of Expertise for Social Enterprises aims to match up experts in the specialities of social entrepreneurship with new or developing entrepreneurs in need of support.

Mentoring is a voluntary way of supporting the skills and professional growth of social entrepreneurs. It involves the mentor sharing their knowledge and experience with the mentee.
