International House Living Room
International House Living Room is a warm, low‑threshold meeting place where international residents and locals can connect in a relaxed “living room” atmosphere.
The purpose of the events is to:
- talk about life in Finland and South Karelia in a bilingual setting (Finnish and English as a support language)
- share cultural perspectives and experiences
- build genuine connections
- learn practical skills for everyday life, work, communication, and navigating Finnish society
- strengthen integration in both directions
A place to meet new people – come chat, learn, and share your thoughts about local life over a cup of coffee. We use both Finnish and English, and you are equally welcome whether you consider yourself local, international, or local international.
