START Business in North Karelia is an event aimed to international persons living in North Karelia, who are interested in starting a business or already becoming an entrepreneur.

The event will be held in English. After the speeches, participants will be divided into groups, with interpreters available for English, Arabic and Russian.

Program

  • 9.00–9.10       Opening speech of the event, Antti Toivanen (North Karelia Chamber of Commerce)
  • 9.10–9.40       Starting business in Finland (own story), Gyöngyi Matray
  • 9.40–9.50       Short interviews with group leaders and division into groups
  • 9.50-10.50      Group discussions
  • 10.50-11.00   Closing remarks, questions and answers available in English, Arabic and Russian.

After dividing into groups, you will tour at four different points (15 minutes per point). An interpreter can be used in the discussions.
