This training is intended for jobseekers who consider entrepreneurship as one possible path to employment, or who want to further develop their own business idea.
This training is intended for jobseekers who consider entrepreneurship as one possible path to employment, or who want to further develop their own business idea. No previous entrepreneurial experience or ready-made business idea is required. The training provides support, clarity, and practical tools for identifying one’s entrepreneurial potential and developing a business idea based on individual starting points.
Objectives of the Training
The objectives of the training are to:
- increase understanding of sustainable and responsible business practices
- support participants in shaping, clarifying, and further developing their own business ideas
- help participants make an existing business idea more concrete or, in a practical and encouraging way, identify their own entrepreneurial potential
Training Content and Structure
Time:
March 18:
- 10:00–11:30 in Finnish
- 13:00–14:30 in English
March 25:
- 10:00–11:30 in Finnish
- 12:00–13:30 in English
Location: City of Rovaniemi Employment Services service point, Valtakatu 16, 96200 Rovaniemi
Duration: 2 × 1.5 hours

Participants are expected to commit to attending both training sessions so that the overall programme best supports the development of their business idea.
In addition to the training sessions, participants will have access to self-study materials in the form of course modules on the Moodle platform, which can be used during and after the training.
Session 1: Responsible and Sustainable Business (1,5 h)
The first session covers:
- principles of socially, ecologically, and responsibly sustainable business
- different forms of business and their suitability
- responsible business models and their revenue logic
Session 2: From Idea to Business – Workshop (1,5 h)
The second session focuses on:
- identifying and clarifying one’s own business idea using a problem-based solution model
- examining the social, ecological, and economic sustainability of the idea
- further developing the idea in a guided way using a responsible business idea workbook
