All of Finland is Recruiting provides employers the opportunity to organise a unique recruitment event

News

All of Finland is Recruiting is a nationwide recruitment event expected to have participants from all over Finland. The event is aimed at companies in the personnel sector.

The National Workforce Training Week organised in the autumn of 2023 was such a positive experience of organising a large event covering the whole of Finland that it encouraged us to organise an event of the same size this year. All of Finland is Recruiting is a new kind of recruitment event, and it will take place from 28 October to 1 November.

All of Finland is Recruiting is one of the last events we’ll be organising before the employment services are transferred to the municipalities. I believe the event will increase the visibility and recognition of the recruitment industry, and we hope that companies in the field will participate enthusiastically. In my opinion, what makes the event particularly nice is that companies can participate in the way they want and come up with new ways to organize recruitment events’, says Merru Tuliara, CEO of Employment Industry Finland.

Several ways to participate

Each HR employer participating in the event week can plan a unique recruitment event. The event does not necessarily have to be limited to the HR sector, but the HR sector must still be visible in the event in some way.

‘You can also choose whether you will participate on all the dates or, for example, only on one day. It's also worth noting that even if you only have one recruitment during the event week, it will get as much visibility as larger recruitments’, says Eija Erlamo, who works as an expert in event production at Varsinais-Suomi TE Office.

The organisers of the event want to encourage employers to develop new types of recruitment methods, which is why they have launched three different types of events for the All of Finland is Recruiting week. Inspired by the compass in the event logo, the names of the event types use orientation terms.

  • Yhteislähtö (Joint Start) is a traditional trade fair event in which several companies participate and the TE Office has the main responsibility for organising the event. The event can take place either in the company's own premises or in premises provided by the TE Office.
  • Rastipiste (Control Point) is a smaller-scale event that can include, for example, quick interviews, hour-long interview marathons, open-door events and events that fit the company's brand. This type of event responds to the job seekers’ identified need to get directly to an interview.
  • Virtuaalimaasto (Virtual Landscape) is an online event that can reach a wide group of participants. You can inform the TE office's event production about the topic and time of the event and provide the Teams link or indicate your willingness to participate in an event organised on the Tavata virtual platform.

Each employer participating in the All of Finland is Recruiting event can choose which type of event they wish to take part in.

Multi-channel marketing

You can request for help in marketing your recruitment event.

‘TE Offices have an extensive customer register containing information on tens of thousands of people, and we can invite our customers to events either through personal invitations or by using mass marketing. We can also advertise the events on our social media channels. The marketing of the All of Finland is Recruiting event also includes a Google Maps map where job seekers can find recruitment events organised in different parts of Finland. Employers can announce events under their own brand in several regions’, says event coordinator Olli Salonen from the Uusimaa TE Office.

If necessary, you can get help planning the recruitment event from the event production of the TE Office in your employment area.

‘Also remember the TE Offices’ TE Live concept. We can make TE Live webcasts of your recruitment events in advance. You can also have a virtual recruitment event, if you have enough recruiting participants. The virtual platform is managed by the TE Office’, Eija Erlamo says.

You can register for the All of Finland is Recruiting event through the Webropol link.

The event is coordinated by the TE Offices of Varsinais-Suomi and Uusimaa, as well as Employment Industry Finland.
