My Competency Path supports you in finding education and job opportunities that suit your skills and interests. Transferring your data between the competence profile of the Competency Path and the job applicant profile of Job Market Finland is easy and useful.
What is a competence profile and why should you make one?
The competence profile is created in My Competency Path. It helps you make your skills visible, set goals and make plans to achieve them. You can identify your competence and strengths based on your work and education history, interests and hobbies. In addition, you can receive suggestions for training and work tasks suitable to your skills and interests. You can try the service with different interests and find options that you have not previously considered.
Creating a competence profile is made easier by the fact that you can also import your education details directly from My Studyinfo to the competence profile. You can also import information from your CV in PDF form.
Transfer of profile data between the Competency Path and Job Market Finland
You can use the same profile data in the Competency Path and at Job Market Finland. You can import the data from the Job Market Finland job applicant profile to the Competency Path competence profile or the data from the competence profile to the job applicant profile. This way, you do not have to enter the same information again. You can use Job Market Finland to search for jobs and the Competency Path to explore job and education opportunities that suit your skills and interests.
How to transfer your profile data between the Competency Path and Job Market Finland?
Data is transferred between profiles in the Competency Path.
Log in to My Competency Path with your Suomi.fi ID and select the page Import and export data from your competence profile. On this page, you can import your data from the job applicant profile to the competence profile or export your data from the competence profile to the job applicant profile.
If you want to import your data from the job applicant profile to the competence profile:
- Select Import data from the job applicant profile. The import requires logging in to Job Market Finland and a separate authorisation.
- Select the user role as Private customer and give permission to retrieve and process profile data.
- Select what data from your job applicant profile the Competency Path service can retrieve and process.
- Finally, select Return to the other service.
If you want to export your data from the competence profile to the job applicant profile:
- Select Export data to the job applicant profile. The export requires logging in to Job Market Finland and a separate authorisation.
- Select the user role as Private customer.
- Select the data you want to export to your job applicant profile and give permission for the profile data to be imported.
- Finally, select Return to the other service.
