TE services will be transferred from the state to municipalities starting January 1, 2025. This reform will create a new model in Finland where municipalities or employment areas formed by municipalities will be responsible for employment services. The goal of the reform is to bring services closer to residents and to promote the rapid employment of jobseekers more effectively than before. In the future, these services will be part of the basic service selection of municipalities, alongside early childhood education, schools, and libraries.

Starting in January, Rovaniemi and Ranua will form the Rovaseutu employment area, which will jointly handle employment services. The reform’s preparers want to hear the views and experiences of residents of Rovaniemi and Ranua regarding employment services, and experiences are now being collected through a survey open to all residents.

The survey responses will be used in the planning of services and their communication in the future employment area. The survey is open to job seekers, students, entrepreneurs, employers, and all other residents of Rovaniemi and Ranua. You do not need to be a customer of employment services or the local government pilot to respond to the survey. All views and experiences are valuable!

The survey is open from September 2 to September 30, 2024.
