- News
You are advised to activate Suomi.fi messages from 12 May 2025 when you log in to Job Market Finland's E-services section or another e-service of the authorities using Suomi.fi authentication.

Select whether to activate Suomi.fi messages
When you log in to any authority’s e-services using Suomi.fi authentication, from 12 May 2025, you will be asked whether you want to activate electronic Suomi.fi messages.
You can activate messages immediately upon authentication. When you activate the messages, you will receive mail sent by the authorities to your electronic Suomi.fi mailbox instead of paper mail.
In connection with the activation, you will need to enter your e-mail address and confirm it with the code sent to your e-mail address. Going forward, you will receive an e-mail notification when you receive new Suomi.fi messages.
Despite the question, you are not required to activate Suomi.fi messages. If you wish, you can ignore the question and continue to authenticate as usual. Suomi.fi messages can also be activated later.
You will not see the question if you have already activated Suomi.fi messages.

Suomi.fi messages – your electronic mailbox
Suomi.fi messages is a secure electronic mailbox that replaces paper mail from the authorities. You can receive a Suomi.fi message for some of the messages and decisions received in Job Market Finlands E-Services section, which you can read using the Suomi.fi mobile application or the browser-based Suomi.fi online service.
In Finland, the authorities are transitioning to using primarily digital channels for communication with citizens. The Suomi.fi message service is already used by several authorities and the number of senders is constantly growing. Other services of the authorities which send Suomi.fi messages include MyTax and Traficom’s My e-Services.
