Northern Finland once again needs a large number of workers for the winter season. Work in Lapland is a recruitment event aimed at both job seekers and employers.

Work in Lapland will be held on 4 September 2025 from 11 am to 3 pm (from 12 am to 4 pm Finnish time). The event takes place online, making it accessible from anywhere. Work in Lapland is an English-language event and part of the European Job Days series, organized across Europe.

Heading North for Work

The event seeks workers for the winter season in tourism, hospitality, and related sectors in Kainuu, Northern Ostrobothnia, and Lapland. On the event day, you’ll get information about what it’s like to live and work in Northern Finland. You’ll also see videos and interviews from employers.

You can participate by registering and creating a profile on the European Job Days website. After that, you can explore employers, apply for jobs, respond to possible online interview invitations, follow the event program, and chat with employers.

Are you an employer in Northern Finland?

If you’re an employer in Northern Finland, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and recruit job seekers from all over Europe.

Work in Lapland is free of charge for employers. You can join by creating an exhibitor profile and posting your job openings on the European Job Days website. When job seekers apply, you’ll be able to view their profiles and CVs.

The Work in Lapland event is organized by EURES (European Employment Services) along with the employment regions of Kainuu-Koillismaa, Oulu region, and four employment regions in Lapland.
