Career Club event this spring offers an opportunity to get inspired by entrepreneurship and the possibilities of self-employment.

Time: Wed 25 March, 5–7 PM
Location: Lappeenranta Main Library, room Heikki

The main language of the event is English, Easy Finnish is also available. The events are part of the International House South Karelia activities coordinated by the South Karelia Employment Area. They are free of charge and open to everyone.

Speaker Introductions

Katja Ahola

Katja Ahola is a passionate business developer, data analyst, and an eternal optimist with 25 years of entrepreneurial experience. He has worked as an entrepreneur in the IT, retail, tourism, and accommodation sectors. In 2019, she launched Hotelli Rakuuna, and a couple of years later, the business of Hotelli Lähde. Both hotels operate in Lappeenranta, serving life-loving travelers who seek something more from their stay than just a bed.

Didar Hosain

Didar Hosain is an engineering graduate from OAMK and a Finland-based entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience across fashion sourcing, restaurant operations, education consultancy, software development, and the travel industry. He is the founder of Trektil.com, Finland’s only Finnish-owned online air ticketing platform built to serve international residents living in Finland. Didar Hosain build businesses by identifying real problems through direct interaction with people and connecting those problems with scalable solutions.

Sara Rapo

Sara Rapo is the project manager of the Entrepreneurship Starter Kit at Etelä-Karjalan Yrittäjät.

She focuses on developing practical and accessible solutions that support new entrepreneurs in the early stages of starting a business. The Entrepreneurship Starter Kit project is developing a free New Entrepreneur Navigator designed to lower the threshold to entrepreneurship and clarify the early stages of starting a business.
