A job applicant profile can help you find a job

After registering as a job seeker, you have 15 working days to create and publish a job applicant profile. Your job applicant profile must remain public throughout your entire job search.

If you fail to create and publish your job applicant profile within the deadline, an employment official will add the minimum information to the profile and publish it on your behalf. The employment official will not add confidential information to the profile.

When you create a job applicant profile, you can receive job recommendations based on your experience and competence. You can create a profile once you log in to Job Market Finland using, for example, banking codes, a mobile certificate, or an email login. Job Market Finland can be used free of charge.

Employers, private employment agencies and employment officials can browse job seeker profiles published at Job Market Finland, search for suitable employees and contact them. Employment officials can only see the profiles of their own clients. Your job applicant profile should include information about your work experience, education and job preferences that is relevant to your job search. Remember to keep your profile up to date and add a free-form introduction of yourself and the skills you have gained through hobbies and positions of trust.

You do not have to create and publish a job applicant profile in certain exceptional situations. Examples of such situations include when

  • you are not required to look for work,
  • you are employed full-time,
  • you are a full-time student,
  • you are a full-time entrepreneur or
  • an employment official has assessed that you are not obliged to publish a profile for another reason.
