Transferring profile data between Competency Path and Job Market Finland

Competency Path is a nationwide digital service that helps users identify their own skills and find suitable education and career opportunities. The service provides both individuals and guidance professionals with tools, information and support for education and career planning, skills development and employment. Competency Path brings together different sources of information and services so that users can smoothly plan their learning and career paths.
In Competency Path, users can import their profile data from Job Market Finland into their Competence Profile or export their own data to their job applicant profile on Job Market Finland.
It is currently possible to authorise the transfer of the following data:
- Work experience
- Education
- Other experience
Please note that even if you select other available data for transfer, only the data listed above will be transferred. The transfer of other data may become possible later.
How to transfer data between Competency Path and Job Market Finland
- The data transfer always begins in Competency Path. Log in to Competency Path.
- Open the menu in the upper right corner and go to the settings under Competence Profile.
- Select “Import your data” or “Export your data” according to your needs.
- You will first be redirected to Job Market Finland to log in.
- After logging in, you can select the data you want to import or retrieve.
- After this, you will return to Competency Path.
Data protection and responsibilities
Once you have authorised the transfer of data and the data has been transferred between Job Market Finland and Competency Path, the responsibility for the transferred data is transferred to Competency Path, and the data is processed in accordance with Competency Path’s own data protection guidelines.
