Job Market Finland's regional pages as part of TE2024 reform

News

Over the past eighteen months, Job Market Finland has established itself as a provider of open jobs and a route to official employment services. Following the establishment of the employment regions, it is important for customers to be able to easily find the regional and national information they need on working life and employment services, so the importance of Job Market Finland's regional pages is even greater.

Job Market Finland's regional pages were launched in April 2023. The regional pages contain region- and municipality-specific information on local events and employment-related news. You can also search for contact details of operators in your area and services described in the Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue. A network of regional employment and business operators maintains local content.

Job Market Finland's regional pages support the new employment regions

In January 2025, the responsibility for organising TE Services will be transferred to the municipalities. This change is historic and brings with it many new things. More than 40 employment regions will be set up in Finland to take over responsibility for employment services. The aim of the reform is to organise employment services in such a way that they enhance the vitality and competitiveness of the municipalities and regions. The expectation is that employment will be accelerated when employment services, municipal education services and business services are all under the responsibility of the same organiser.

‘Employment region’ is a new term, but ‘Job Market Finland’ has already been in use for some time. From January 2025 onwards, the importance of Job Market Finland's regional pages will grow even more as responsibility for organising employment services is transferred to more operators. The employment regions will find Job Market Finland’s regional pages a ready and established platform for their communication.

The regional pages are already being maintained by a team of professionals from the future employment regions. These pages allow the employment regions to improve the visibility of their employment themes and campaigns. The regional pages allow different organisations to provide comprehensive services across organisational boundaries.
