The Finnish Supervisory Agency will start operating on 1 January 2026. At the same time, the duties of the occupational safety and health authority will be transferred to the new agency.

Until now, the divisions of occupational safety and health at Finland's Regional State Administrative Agencies have acted as regional occupational safety and health authorities. They will be closed down at the end of the year.

The division of occupational safety and health at the new Supervisory Agency is divided into national operational units. The division of occupational safety and health will continue to carry out occupational safety and health inspections throughout Finland, and it will manage the permits and notifications that are the responsibility of the occupational safety and health authority, as has been the case so far.

The Tyosuojelu.fi online service, the occupational safety and health authority’s helpline, and the e-service channels will continue to serve the customers also in the future.
