Agricultural worker
An agricultural worker is an employee hired by a farm who carries out farm-related tasks under the guidance of a supervisor or an agricultural entrepreneur. Agricultural workers are mainly employed on larger farms. The profession requires knowledge and competence in farm work, as well as independence and the ability to work cooperatively.

Agricultural workers are required to have knowledge and mastery of agriculture and the diverse tasks involved in farm work. The profession requires you to be able to use the necessary machines, equipment, and tools. Agricultural workers are also required to have initiative and good teamwork skills.
A good physical condition is required, as some of the tasks can be physically demanding. Flexibility and adaptability to different conditions are required in the work environment, as exposure to noise, vibration, dust, heat, and cold may occur from time to time.

Upper secondary vocational institutions offer the vocational qualification in agriculture (animal attendant). After gaining more competence, it is also possible to complete the further vocational qualification and specialist vocational qualification in agriculture (e.g. agricultural worker or farm animal attendant). You can also complete the qualification through an apprenticeship.
