Global talent connect – targeted recruitment for the needs of the Vaasa region
It is a well-known fact that many companies in the Vaasa region are currently facing difficulties in recruitment. To bridge the gap between the needs of the companies and the international professionals seeking career opportunities, a new targeted recruitment concept “Global Talent Connect” will be piloted at the Wasa Future Festival on Tuesday August 8, 2023.

The new concept and the event is tailor-made to meet the needs of the participating companies and the international professionals. The focus is on the key aspect of successful recruitment – connecting people and building relationships. The event is all about bringing together talented internationals in the Vaasa region with local companies who need their skills and expertise either right now or in the near future.
The event provides talents with a unique platform for networking, for recognizing and communicating their own talent and a learning experience of the companies’ needs and their recruitment processes. For companies, the key focus for this event is relevance. Talents will be analyzed and selected based on their skills and experience and they will be matched with relevant companies. Company representatives will have the possibility to meet talents in group discussions and 1-on-1 meetings, thus get a direct contact with talents.
Most sessions of the event are only open for selected companies and international talents. However, the booth area on the 1st floor at Wasa Innovation Center will be open for all between 10.30–12.00.

Global Talent Connect is a new recruitment concept that is organized and piloted by the University of Vaasa, Vaasa Spouse Programme, Vaasa International Talents project and Ostrobothnia TE Office.
