Environmental sector
Environmental professionals work in environmental care and protection. Waste management, or the collection and treatment of waste produced by human activities, plays an important role in the environmental management sector. Environmental management has an impact on the well-being of the environment by preventing or reducing the access of harmful substances to nature and by cleaning up soil and water. Possible workplaces in the environmental sector include the state's environmental administration, municipalities, research institutes and environmental organisations and companies.
