After gaining work experience, it is possible to complete a vocational qualification in business (real estate), at a secondary-level educational institution. The term real estate agent or abbreviation LKV (= Licensed Real Estate Agent) may only be used by a person who has passed the LKV test. The LKV test is organised by the Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Agent Board.
The goal of the Advanced Real Estate Agent Training (YKV) is to enhance professional competence and provide skills to take on leadership roles in the real estate industry. The training aims to improve practical capabilities.
Rental agency assignments in residential and commercial properties can be trained in the Rental Agent Examination (VuT), which prepares for the Rental Agent Examination (LVV). LVV, licensed is a rental apartment agent. It is a competence obtained by passing a LKV test or an LVV test.
Only a private trader or legal person that is registered as a property company can practise as a property company. Only a private trader or legal person that is registered as a letting agency or property company can practise as a letting agency.
The agency must have a manager in charge. For example, the person in charge in a real estate agency or rental agency must have professional competence demonstrated in an examination for real estate agents or for letting agents.
