National defence and border security

The purpose of national defence is to secure Finland’s territorial integrity, the livelihood of its population and the freedom of action of the government, as well as defend the rule of law. Border security maintains border order and security. Various jobs are available for non-military personnel, non-commissioned officers and special officers.
